Whosz | Mateusz Staniszewski, designer and front-end developer

I design and build websites that work hard for your brand.

15+ years in design

I've spent 15 years designing digital products for companies like Egnyte, Zonal and nexos.ai. Now I bring the same standard to startups and local businesses, from gyms and cafés to salons, that need a logo, a brand identity and a website on WordPress, Shopify or Webflow. I design and code everything myself, so the live site looks exactly like the design.

I've designed for teams at

  • nexos.ai
  • Zonal
  • Egnyte
  • Digna
  • Dimedic
  • Chili Piper
  • Enabler
  • Darize
  • Artrage

You talk to one person from start to finish. I make the logo, design the interface and put the site live myself, so the idea doesn't get lost between a designer and a developer. I sweat the details people notice right away and the ones they feel later, like fast load times and a mobile version that's easy to use.

Brand identity

More

A logo, colours, type and key visuals your customers recognise from across the room. I also animate logos and design social media assets. Everything goes into a short brand book, so whatever you make next stays consistent, even when someone else makes it.

UX/UI design

More

I design websites and apps in Figma, from first sketches to a clickable prototype. Every screen gets a phone, tablet and desktop version, and I plan animations and transitions together with the layout. At Egnyte, a platform used by more than 16,000 businesses, I ran the design system across six products. Smaller projects get the same discipline.

Websites & development

More

I build websites on WordPress, Webflow and Framer, Shopify stores and simple, fast HTML sites. I write the code myself, so what you see in the design is what you get in the browser. I set up hosting, the domain, forms and basic SEO, then show you how to update the content on your own.

Who I work with

I work with startups and with businesses people visit in person

A startup needs a brand and a website that win over investors and its first customers. A local business needs a site where people can book, order or call straight away. I do both.

Startups & new brands

  • An engineer working on a laptop in a lab
    Tech startups

SaaS, AI, fintech, healthtech and greentech. A logo, landing page, pitch deck and MVP design system, ready before the funding round or the launch.

  • A small brand owner packing orders
    E-commerce & D2C brands

Brands that sell straight to customers: cosmetics, fashion, food and accessories. Brand identity, packaging and a Shopify store.

Service & local businesses

  • A dental chair in a bright practice
    Health & medical

Dental practices, clinics, physiotherapists, psychologists and medical startups. A website people trust and online appointment booking.

  • An architect working on a building model
    Professional services

Law firms, accountants, architects, consultants and estate agents. A brand that looks the part and a website that explains what you do in plain words.

  • A workshop leader explaining something to a group
    Education & training

Language schools, business trainers and online course creators. A website with sign-ups, a calendar and payments.

  • A personal trainer spotting a client
    Fitness & sport

Gyms, martial arts clubs, yoga studios and personal trainers. Class schedules, memberships and online sign-ups.

  • A chef plating a dish with tweezers
    Food & drink

Cafés, restaurants, bakeries and breweries. Menus that read well on a phone, bookings and orders.

  • A barber cutting a client's hair
    Beauty

Barbers, hair and beauty salons, tattoo studios. Price lists, portfolios and appointment booking.

  • A florist in her shop
    Independent shops

Boutiques, florists, bike shops and bookshops. Opening hours, directions and online orders.

  • Hands at a pottery wheel
    Makers & local services

Ceramic studios, workshops, photographers, renovation firms and solar installers. A simple, fast website that helps people find you on Google.

Launching soon? I'll get your brand and website ready before the round or the launch

At nexos.ai I designed the product from the first sketch to launch. I designed and coded Digna in three days. I know what every week means when the runway is getting shorter. The starter package includes:

  • A logo and core identity: colours, type and icons
  • A landing page on Webflow, Framer or Next.js, ready for campaigns and A/B tests
  • A pitch deck in the same style
  • A clickable MVP prototype in Figma, or a working web app

Take the whole package or just what you need right now. We agree on price and timing after a short call.

Platforms

I choose the platform based on how your business works

  • WordPress

For businesses that want to add posts, pages and projects themselves. I build lightweight themes with Gutenberg blocks or ACF. I skip heavy page builders because they slow sites down.

    Content-heavy sites and blogs

    Ask for a quote
  • Shopify

For brands that sell online. I design the store around your products, customise an Online Store 2.0 theme and set up payments and shipping. Customers get from product page to checkout in a few clicks.

    Online stores and D2C brands

    Ask for a quote
  • Webflow

For companies growing a site with a blog, case studies and campaign pages. Your marketing team edits content in a visual editor without waiting for a developer. Good SEO and GSAP animations come with it.

    Startups and B2B companies

    Ask for a quote
  • Framer

The fastest way to a landing page that turns heads. A good fit for a product launch or a pre-raise website your team can edit later.

    Launches and landing pages

    Ask for a quote
  • Next.js & Astro

When the site needs custom features or connects to your app. I use Astro for very fast content sites and Next.js for apps. Content lives in Sanity, so you edit it in a friendly panel, and the site runs on Vercel or Netlify.

Sites that are part of the product

    Ask for a quote
  • Simple custom websites

Business card sites, landing pages and campaign pages. Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript load almost instantly and run on the cheapest hosting. You're looking at one right now.

    Small business sites

How we'll work together

  1. A quick call

We start with a short call. I ask about your business, your customers and what the website needs to do for you. Then you get a quote and a timeline.

  2. Design

Structure and content come first, then the look. I share the design in Figma, collect your feedback and refine it until it's ready to build.

  3. Build

I code the site and connect the CMS, forms and analytics. Then I test it on real phones and in different browsers.

  4. Launch & care

I launch the site and hand over the logins with a short guide. If you'd like, I stay on to handle updates.

Why work with me

3 days

from brief to an app in production

That's how long it took me to design and code Digna, a telemedicine app for menopause care. 25 screens, all made by me and shipped to production. I bring the same pace to business websites.

About me

I'm a designer by training and by choice. I studied graphic design at Warszawska Szkoła Reklamy and digital media at Warsaw School of Computer Science. I've worked at companies like Netguru and Objectivity, at startups and at large corporations, where I led design teams and owned design systems. These days I also code what I design. The site ends up looking like the design, and you don't wait weeks for a developer.

Frequently asked questions

Can't find your question? Call me or drop me a line.

How much does a website cost?

It depends on the scope. A simple business site needs a different budget than a store with a hundred products. After a short call I send a quote that shows exactly what you're paying for.

How long does it take?

That depends on the scope too. A simple website is quicker than a brand identity or a store with lots of products. You get an exact timeline with the quote.

Which platform should my website use?

If you sell products online, go with Shopify: payments, stock and shipping live in one dashboard. If you want a blog, a project gallery or often add new pages, WordPress is the better fit. For startups I usually suggest Webflow or Framer, because your team can edit content and add pages quickly. If the site has a few sections and rarely changes, plain HTML is enough. It's the fastest option and the cheapest to maintain. I'll help you choose.

Can I edit the website myself?

Yes. On WordPress, Shopify, Webflow and Framer you change text, images and products in the dashboard. After launch I walk you through it and leave a short guide.

Can you help with hosting and the domain?

Yes. I'll recommend where to buy hosting and a domain, set everything up and publish the site. You keep the logins and full control of the account.

Can you do just the design or just the build?

Yes. I can design a logo or a website for your team to build, or build a design you already have in Figma.

Do you work with early-stage startups?

Yes. We can start with just a logo and a landing page, then build the design system and a bigger site after the round. I've designed products from scratch, including at nexos.ai, so I know how fast startups move.

Do you work with clients outside Poland?

Yes, in Polish and English. I've worked with companies from the UK, the US and Scandinavia for years, so remote work across time zones is routine for me.

Got a project, a deadline and a budget? Or just an idea? Either is a good place to start.
